Ford has released a few images of the all-new 2017 Raptor taken during its testing phase.
The prototype has completed more than 1600km of testing, including a 100km stretch on a desert trail. According to Ford, the new Raptor completed the journey 25% faster than the model it replaces.
The new Raptor comes as standard with a 3,5-litre EcoBoost V6 with 306kW and 587Nm of torque on tap. It also has a ten-speed automatic gearbox and a torque-on-demand transfer case.
It will make its debut in 2016, but don’t expect it to be made available in SA.
